Do you mean a cone filter or a panel filter that drops into the stock airbox? Either way, it's worth it. You can get the K&N panel filters at auto parts stores, like Pep Boys.

You can get panel filters from Autozone. You can get cones from various websites. Just tell them the inlet diameter and overall length you want.

I got my K&N drop in filter from www.courtesyparts.com about a month ago. I haven't noticed any difference but then againn it's not a real hp booster. But it is nice to know I have it.

If you are talking about the cone filter like the Stillen unit, try www.eatricezone.com .
Or, Courtesy has the JWT pop charger on sale right now.

yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I put in a drop in panel K&N in my 97 GLE but how much difference is there between the panel filter in the stock air box and the cone filters, maybe not necessarily a K&N cone filter??

Neither one will do much good. If you want to know why, look here: http://216.122.219.59/forums/showthr...threadid=35172

The K&N panel filter is a definite improvement over the stock filter. First, it will last forever, so you don't have to keep buying new stock ones. Also, Turbo Magazine dynoed a 5th-gen with a K&N panel filter and it got a 4hp increase. When I had my K&N panel filter in, I noticed much better throttle response, so I know that it was helping the breathing a little. Plus, many other magazines have dynoed intakes and shown gains, so we know that they work.
