whistleing sound

whistleing sound

hey guys, everytime i turn on the heat, and im accelerating i hear this whistleing sound in my car, its the loudest in 1st gear, and gets quiter and quiter in every gear, is this normal?

hey i get the same noise, but i get it all the time. and i do have a stillen filter with frankencar midpipe. What is that supercharger-like whine. ( i wish)lol no itz jus a annoying faint whine but it is noticeable when u listen real close.

It was there with stock, you just couldn't hear it. That's why I asked if he had an aftermarket...

naw, its a stock intake, it is hacked, but its only when i have the heater on, not when its off

I don't know the exact schematics, but I'm going to guess when the heater is on there's a duct open from the engine to the passenger compartment that's not open when the heater is off, and that alone with the hacked airbox just enough to allow you to hear the whine that's always there but muffled by an unhacked airbox.

I have the same noise..I don't have an hacked airbox..Im completely stock.
