quick mevi question

Im very interested in getting a mevi very soon, My question is does the full kit come with installation instructions? which ECU is better TS or JWT for the mevi? and Will my idle be nice, smooth and about 700-600 rpms? Thanks.

No instructions, idle is fine, its an OEM part, JWT ecu works best.

I'm not sure if they sell the full kit new anymore. Did you find somewhere that does or is someone selling theirs? I think JWT is tried and true with the MEVI but TS is a great company and now that they've cracked the rev-limiter, their ECU is a whole lot better then it was...

No, that is not a full kit. It's missing essentials like the RPM switch, and vac. canister. Best to find the post for one of those full kits and see what you're missing. That site is only selling the manifold itself.

It's NOT good anymore, go to his site, it states clearly that he doesn't sell them anymore.

As far as I know, you can't get these manifolds anywhere now. The Nismo site hasn't been updated in a while.

U can get themthere but its not the full kits... you gotta find one out there from someone really.. Go with the JWT ecu as well.. Either that or you could just save and do cams which isnt much more cause if u buy the mevi then the ecu it still adds up to the same... im thinking about doin the cams

Yeah but cams kill low end TQ. With the MEVI it kills the Low end TQ also but with the ECU you can recover most of your TQ.
A brand New MEVI setup with run you about $550
JWT ECU Retail $600
total $1150
But you can Install those yourself.

Cams Retail $1100
Install Is Kinda pain so figure 10hrs @ $70 $700
Total $1800
And even with the Cams it would be nice to have an ECU since from the dyno i have seen they seem to make excellent power After redline.
Gmahoney i know where your comming from though, your a 99 so ECU is not an option. But if your Really serious maybe look into 00VI

keep looking in the forsale forum i see MEVI KITs on there once in a while going for $350-400. Excellent price since your getting everything. You can order your ECU ahead of time since it will be needed anyway.
