another tranny bearing problem

Well, I think i have a broken tranny like many others. About 3 months ago, I changed the clutch. About a month ago I noticed a leak coming from the output shaft seal on the driver's side. Filled it and kept driving (stupid, i know) now i have a bad tranny noise (whining in all gears) its hard to shift into first and second the cv shaft is loose in the tranny (wiggles around loosely) went to the tranny shop and he wants 350 just to look at it and he said my best bet is a used tranny, so i would rather do this myself then pay them. the spedometer stopped working and now i have a ecu code 14 (vechicle speed sensor) questions:

i have a 96 w/o abs and w/o Limited slip, but where on the tranny do i find the tranny code?

where is the best place to find a tranny?

thanks all,
jeff

Check your local salvage yards. You don't need a tranny code, just make, year and model of your vechicle.

not to my knowledge. I think you need different halfshafts
