Tie rod part of the CV axle?

Tie rod part of the CV axle?

I know my tie rod on the right is loose and my cv boot on the left is torn. I wanted to just change the whole CV axle, will this replace my tie rod as well?

Sorry if this is such a newbie question.

Nope.

The tie rod attaches the steering rack to the spindle for steering.

The CV joint is part of the axle which connects the transmission-bone to the wheel-bone.
