In my personal opinion, I think they look like crap. I do, however, applaud your effort at being unique...

 

i like them, i like the blue, and i like the angel eyes. In my opinion bright is good and so is blue (how did u get them blue?). Good job.

as for everyone else, y do u all have to be ********s about everything you dont like. If you dont like them thats cool, but you dont have to **** a brick everytime u see somthing you dont like. He didnt do it to your car so whats the big deal?

copycat, lol just joking. finally someone else did angel eyes with non-projectors like me. took ya long enough. lol. i took it a step further and went ahead and made my angel eyes from some LED's and a acrylic curtain rod. good job though, ive got a whole new idea for my next set though.

wow, i think a lot of people need to grow up here. this all started when some significants needed to vioce their dislike with the mod. if you didnt like it, no one asked you to put your two cents in about it.

secondly, i have the exact same angel eyes in my 96 headlights. they are not BLUE, they are white. the photo taken of them that you all see is jsut horribly digitalized. they are in fact, white.

finally, i cant see how you dont like. if you are talking rice, all of you who have 2 ft. wings on your max's, thats rice. all of you WHO HAVE THE EXACT SAME STILLEN BODY KIT/LIP/WHATEVER, thats rice. stop trying to make your maximas supercars, unless your racing them, or youve done a motor swap. they are 4DSC's, simple.

stop hating and just accept the fact that soemone may have soemthing that you dont that can be considered nice.

I agree. This is one of those situations where I'd like to make an example of somebody, but as PrinzII made obvious, no more personal attacks. All I'll say is, it's cents.

Anyways, I in no way was attempting to belittle this mod. I think it would look DECENT maybe in certain colors and situations. However, the way it is on jdm's car, I do not like it. This is my personal opinion. As for "nobody asked your opinion," he posted a thread on an internet message board showing what he had done, including pictures. I think it's kind of implied that opinions are going to be shared...if he didn't want criticism (good or bad) he probably shouldn't have posted it.

How was I wrong about that statement? He was wrong, those angel eyes are not from a BMW. You want to put out an age limit? I never put out a personal attack against anyone, I stated my opinion. Age has nothing to do with this, and for you saying that, it made yourself look even worse. I'm only one of a handfull that has done a bi-xenon projector retrofit and im only 17. What does that show you? To set all the time and money aside to complete a project like that is not easy to do. So don't bring age into this, cause thats just wrong, look at all the other people 10-15 years older than me that act twice as young.

 

this mod doesnt fit my taste, but i give you mad props for trying something new, get boreing watching the same max over and over again. we need a little diversity once in a while

 

This thread is one of the best yet... I havent really posted in the 4th gen forums because of this... People state there opinions, and then feelings get hurt. Its all critisism, just get over it... I personally would think it was sick if we could get bizenon projectors in with angleeyes... Kinda what blueC has, exept with two projectors per side. This might be a winter break project for me actually... What do you guys think?

 

Actually thats what im working on right now. 2 Projectors in each housing, one bi-xenon, one not. Both would be on at the same time, but only one would have working highs. It will take me a month or two to complete, just because of the high costs of this, but it will be amazing when finished.

 

Let's hope that the headlights won't get stolen. All that work and $$$$ going in headlights.. It'll hurt if it gets stolen or broken...

 

Yeah, i think il be able to do it... il just make my own headlights, probably from a bmw template, maybe even use bmw lights... my guess is that it will be about 700 dollars in total, and take up most of my spring break, but il do it

 

i really dont understand u people who have posted in this thread. you say his mod is rice, he has made his headlamps brighter and easier for others to see at night and in the day time. but i guess increasing your cars visability is rice. once someone on this forum calls something rice all of u sheep just jump in and begin to follow a few negative peoples leads. its great that people post their opinons here but y does it have to come out sounding so negative? if u dont like it then say y and leave it at that and dont start name calling.
ohh and how can u guys say that those belong on bmw's and shouldnt be on a max?
Things people put on maxes that come on other cars:
hid's
bmw projectors
benz projectors
entire audi headlamps
leds
lots of leds
rear fog lights
and thats just stuff that deals with lighting.
we need to be happy that someone else has tried a new mod for our cars and maybe someone else might want to copy his lead.

 

If they break then i dont think it will be a big deal. You can always fix them. Solen on the other hand would suck! I mean when people steal $hit out of your car, replacing the part isnt the real bad part. The problem is what they messed up to get what they wanted. Trust me... both max's were stolen and broken into.

i have a set of 96 integra projectors will these work for doing the mod on your headlights?

 

i do not think that would come out to well. if you ae going to spnd the time to do projectors make it Hid projectors at least.

lately this forum has been getting a bad rep, mainly because of the senior members. I would like to thank mzmtg for his opinion, for it was about all cars, not only max's, and also because it wasnt directed at anyone personally.

 

Let me just add that MY dad has a 2003 BMW with angel eyes. So I am in just as good a position as jdm to decide if they look like **** or not.

 

Oh please...welcome to the internet. When I have posted my mods including my 17s I got both negative and positive feedback. You don't see me throwing a **** fit since some people don't like them. Everyone will have their opinion and are going to express it either way, whether you like it or not.

 

You can't call someone ignorant when you can't even spell. It's your car and you can mod it how you want. In my OPINION I think the angel eyes look better on the projectors......

You're a little premature in drawing your conclusion as not everyone has read this thread. So JDM put angel eyes on his car. Good for him. If it makes him happy then that's fine with me. The only thing I don't see enough of is the person's reason for calling rice. So far I've read you saying that just because many people have the same kit and so its considered rice. Well, that's your opinion. Its flawed logic IMO but nevertheless its your opinion. Logically I should be considered a ricer because I've got an SC. Lots of people have it and I don't race.

You forget that modding our cars is a HOBBY! We don't like to have cookie-cutter cars and thats a given. Thats why we all hang out here and thats why we mod.

It breaks my heart whenever I see a 2k2-2k3 max with 2k-2k1 headlights... Especially when they're parked on the streets.. (in nyc)

I seriously hope you are kidding. If you think angel eyes improves the visibility, you should sell your car and cut up your license. I was trying to stop posting in this thread, but I think its wrong to say a mod does something when it really doesn't. If it takes angel eyes for someone to see your car on the road, they shouldnt be driving. Thats what clearance lamps are designed for. Blue light coming off of a civilian car is illegal, you'll get written up for it, I see cops do it all the time. And if they truely are not blue in person, well, its just another clearance lamp. And if you say they help at night, its blocking the reflector inside the housing, im sure you see a big ring of missing light when you post up a beam pattern.

This is just an eye candy mod, it in no way helps visibility. Projectors on the other hand, is a great mod for improving visibility, it has saved me from hitting 3 deer so far.

Yes I have one bi-xenon projector set from a bmw, and one from a mercedes. I'll admit that, but It was installed the way it should be. Im not putting in ricey 8000k bulbs inside, im using the factory bulbs. Angel eyes on a reflector housing is just pointless IMO. Thats what I said earlier. I give him props for doing it, thats an accomplishment, but dont start saying it helps visibilty, that just makes me mad.

 

I agree that Angel Eyes are pointless unless you want a different look.
But isn't modding a car all about being "different"?
There's tons of "pointless" mods that we have...mostly cosmetic..
