Engine Coolant Temp Sensor

Was wondering if there is a detail writeup on how to change the Engine Coolant Temp Sensor?

I have a haynes manual but want to have more of a detailed writeup.

Thanks in advance.

Theres not much to it. Follow the top cooland hose down and there will be two sensors. One of them is the coolant temp sensor, I can't remeber which one, but you will see the difference. Just unsrew it, put the new one in and your set.

Is it possible if you can provide me a picture. The manual just points to a tube.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I'm more of a picture person.

If somebody can provide me a picture I'll greatly appreciate it.

in the first picture you can see the coolant hose going down, follow that to the sensors

now you can see both sensors that are there. The one on the right (the bigger and newer one) is the coolant temp sensor. Don't worry no coolant will come out when you pull the sensor out.

if you remove the part of the intake that goes to the brace above your radiator, it is much easier to get the sensor out.
hope that helps

Thanks for the pic.

Is the sensor the one that's hiding?

Sorry, no pics. If you buy the replacement, it will help you find it...at least did for me.
And it is stupid easy to replace and I used Haynes. You may go to a couple of the on line nissan parts stores people use on the Org. I forget the names, but they usually provide diagrams for most of their parts.

I apologize in advance if this post doesn't make sense. I'm caught late at work tonight.

Its very easy, look at the pics and compare it to the new one when you buy it. The hardest part is finding a stocket thats deep enough. I went ghetto and used vice grips

My car started hard when it threw the coolant temp code. It would even stall sometimes after starting the car. After replacing the sensor, I haven't had any starting problems.
