threw some codes 0304 0512

0304-KS
0512-downstream O2 sesor high voltage fault
what can I do, replace the o2 sensor, rplace the KS, or both?
I also may be in need of a fuel filter change, I dont know the last time that was done. This im thinking could trip the KS code, but not entirely sure.
anyone got some input?

I'm suffering from 0902 - Downstream oxygen sensor heater or circuit fault myself. From what I hear a bad Downstream sensor kills gas mileage, so i'm looking to replace it myself.

Change the 02 first then reset the ECU.. see if the KS code comes back up.

isnt the ks a ghost code? meaning if i change the o2 sensor only, will it be hidden? not to sound dumb, but is there a way to actually tell is the ks is bad, like a certain resistor-reading on a DMM or something?

Yes, you can check resistance of the KS with a DMM. The wiring harness has two terminals. Resistance between the left terminal and ground should be in the range of 500-620 Kohms at 77 F.

The FSM has a procedure for diagnosing the KS code, this is only a part of it.
