ECU Code 10:01 is it bad to drive while lights on?
Well, I recently replaced my Y-Pipe/Cat/Bipe/Muffler and a couple weeks later I got the code 10:01... I read that its the left O2 sensor heater...
Is it bad for the engine to drive with that code for a few more day until I get the part and change it myself?
What exactly does that sensor do and what problems might arise?
Should I bother the mechanic that installed the set-up? I mean It worked fine before I changed the parts... Could he have broken it?
I hear something about running lean with that bad O2 sensor. What would running lean do that would harm the engine?
Im just concerned... I hate that yellow light...
Thanks

Your not going to run lean, its probably going to trip the Knock Sensor and the engine will run in safe mode. Change the sensor, if you need a used one, I have one I took off my car in good condition, I'll give it to you dirty cheap. They are very easy to change...
It won't hurt anything nor will it cause the car to run in safe mod even if it causes a knock sensor code to be thrown. Nealoc187 had bad o2 sensors while he ran a 13.4 NA and his turbo car does not even have the sensors at all
