maxima turning off on higway.....please help

hey everyone, can someone suggest something or help me, im not that smart when it comes to cars but love my maxeene.

I have a 1998 GXE, Automatic...148 miles.
My car stalls, rpm goes under 1000 and just turns off.
WHen im driving above 60mph, its fine....ONly when i let go of the accelerator, the rpm goes down 1000 and car turns off.

I then have to go in Nuetral, rev it and then goto DRIVE when the rpm is 1000 or so and THERE IS NO check engine light.

What CAN THIS BE? I first want to know if this an ELectrical or Mechanical problem? The dealership gave me a list of ALL the possibilites and askd me to bring it in again.

Can it be:

Ignition Coils?(spark plugs changed 6 months ago)
MAF- cleaned like a month ago with the spray by a mechanic.
PCV valve? didnt change since 60k tuneup.
Injectors- used injector cleaner but no difference.
Battery?
TPS- a mechanic showed me the scanner and showed it to me at 100%.

Can someone please shoot me an email or reply back to me!
thanks

Long shot, but I had similar symptoms. As surprising as it was to me, it turned out to be my muffler. It could also be your catylitic converter. Did you notice this right after a long trip?

i had something similar... car would stall at a light. RPM would bounce up and down around the 1000 mark, then OFF goes the engine. I changed my Engine Coolant Temp Sensor. I think it helped a little bit but too soon to tell.
