Auto transmission problem

I've noticed a problem with my auto trans lately that seems to be getting worse. The transmission seems to work fine in all gears except 4th (or OD). What happens is when I'm driving down the road and it kicks into the highest gear there is a very slight vibration - kind of like dragging a rubber shoe across a tile floor. It only happens for a split second but seems to be getting longer and stronger. One thing I noticed is that when I switch the OD off I don't notice it. Now I have counted gears and it doesn't seem to be happening on shifting into 4th gear, it's after that. Could this be the torque converter or something like that?

That little shudder you feel while in 4th gear is the torque converter locking and unlocking.

Sometimes it's pretty noticable (and kind of annoying). Does that mean that my TC is going out?
