Anyone here ever wire up their own alarm?

Has anyone here ever install an alarm on their 4th gen? I really want to install a Viper791xv onto my base model 4th gen. I have no keyless entry and I want to implement it with the new alarm system.

The main reason why I want to do this my self as opposed to pay an installer, is that most of the local work I have seen has been really horrible. I have had my car worked on by "professional" installers previously, and I was really disgusted.

Does anyone have a good diagram to follow? Or should I just follow the FSM?

Thanks

I've done one before on my pathfinder, but if I were to do it again, I'd just pay someone...

i have done a couple of my cars all max's, there are diagrams that help but the manual that comes with the alarm are pretty self explanatory. i dont know if this would help but www.crutchfield.com has very good alarms that come with prewired harness's that you plug into your existing ones so its very easy to install compared to other aftermarket alarms.
