this doesn't make you stop all that much more but elimnates or at least decreases brake fade

if you plan on hitting the brake pedal harder/faster after "you run" someone you will definitly lock the brakes much quicker with an upgrade like this. All these will do is decrease brake fade and atleast look really good

Clamping force is greatly increased by the use of 13" rotors. Fade will be greatly reduced by the use of the 4 piston calipers.

I only have a few brackets left.

um i have talked to a couple of people with the kit they all said no any diff in stopping but decreased fade that is the reason one of them is upgrading to the sillen kit

I noticed a difference in stopping distance with the setup and I don't have the cobra rotors on yet, just the zx calipers and ss lines. I will say that they will NOT work with stock 16s so get ready to upgrade your rims/tires as well.

You wont just notice your car all of a sudden stopping 20 feet shorter.. it may be about 5 feet difference but when your talking about stopping thats the difference between missing someone and landing in their back seat...
Fade resistance from a huge stop or continuous stops is where it will shine.

He's talking about using the 300z calipers and 13" cobra rotors. If he buys my brackets that allow him to use the 13" cobra rotors, then there will be a big increase in the torque arm force applied. Leading to reduced brake stopping distance. If you use the calipers WITHOUT the 13" rotors, then you are right.

And if it's your concensus that 13" rotors and 300z calipers will NOT improve your braking performance, then by your own reasoning, neither would the stillen kit. Because I do believe one of the stillen kits uses SMALLER dia rotors than the 13" units the original poster mentioned. One of their kits even uses 2 piston Baer calipers vs the 4 piston 300z units.
