RSB is really only helpful when you keep stock suspension right? cuz the max is a bloody 4x4 on stock springs, so you gotta reduce body roll any way you can. thats what im getting out of all this atleast, i could be wrong though.

Not just price... the Stillen is adjustable and prettier

but then again so is the progress and addco, all you have to do is move the bushings in and out more.

could be better than understeer, which im currently fighting... correct me if im wrong, but on a fwd car, oversteer is gonna be a lot easier to correct than on a rwd car, so oversteer sounds downright pleasant to me.

have any of u experienced the oversteer cause by the sway bar, because ive never heard of this, especially in a FWD.

i always thought if you dont put your struts to the stiffest setting, and dont push the bushings too far out on the sway bar you should be fine.

Yep. Granted I don't take corners at the limit above 50-65mph but I still can't get the rear to step out. 450lb springs rear, stiffened struts, 205 rear rubber, RSTB, RSB full stiff, no FSB, trail braking, etc. Maybe I'm too smooth a driver but I doubt it.

When I added the Progress RSB to my '98 with stock springs, and KYB agx the first thing I noticed was less sway of course and then a tendency towards oversteer but I did not find this to be a bad thing. When I cornered hard around a deserted corner, as I whipped the steering wheel to the right the rear came around and straightened out the path of the car. I had to turn the wheel back to center quickly but all this made for what I consider a more controllable turn. Before the RSB doing the same maneuver would result in lots of body roll with little or no oversteer. I haven't tried this maneuver since adding a RSTB and lowering my car because I'm still learning the new handling characteristics and don't want any unexpected surprises until I have put more miles on the setup but I don't see how the tendency to oversteer could possible go down.

I added the Stillen RSB to an already lowered (1.5 F&R, Tokiko's and Stillen FSB) and noticed an improvement immediately on a sweeping left turn on I-287N to I-78W in NJ. It was worth 7-10 MPH on that curve (from about 60 MPH to 70+ MPH), you know, a "comfortable" type thing, no white knuckles.

Some mechanics that have driven my car ('99 GXE, comparing it to an '01 SE) are amazed at the handling. (Both are 5 speeds, the SE is stock.) Their words, not mine. As to which bar is better, don't know. I may be mistaken, but the GXE doesn't have a stock RSB, but doesn't the SE?

Are you sure? I know there is a front anti-sway bar stock but I think the multi-link beam setup in the rear is the only "anti-sway" bar that the Maxima comes with. If I'm wrong, please give me a reference that proves it.

Our cars do have a rear sway bar... take a look at the rear beam, it has a gap under neath and the stock rear sway bar is in there.

Ah, so it's up under the U-shaped beam. Learn something every day. Sorry I doubted.
