AntiFreeze odor

After driving my Maxima, I smell antifreeze coming from under the hold. There is nothing leaking on the driveway and I can't see any leaks. No white exhaust after car is warmed up either. Any ideas??

It used to smell like waffles every morning in an old VW GTI I used to have. It was something like a bad heater core, or coil... or something. Anyway, it was burning a little coolant but I never got any white smoke or anything. I kind of liked it.

coolant will go in and out of the overflow tank as the engine warms up....so you can get some odor from that. Check your level and keep an eye on it for changes.

The level changes as you use your car. ( going in and out of the engine)

Chek all hoses and suhc, and of course the ground when you leave it parked.

I have been watching the coolant level in the overflow tank. It's been going empty for the past few months.

Could be leaking pressure from the cap????
I smelled coolant for a few months and couldn't find a leak anywhere... Then my radiatior started to seperate from teh plastic molding on the top and that really caused it to leak..

Solution: new radiator for me.
