Another strange sound I noticed in my car. Whenever I hit the breakes when coming to stop or just idling I hear this ticking sound coming from engine bay/break fluid container area. I don't even have to press the breaks all the way, slight tap on the break starts this ticking then after 3 seconds it's gone. The car doesn't have to move I tap the break and I hear it ticking. It's really hard to notice it from outside ( I had a friend listen to it from outside with the hood open)., but inside you can hear it. This ticking is not noticable when driving, I can only hear it when parking.

What could it be? Something wrong with the master break cylinder? The fluid level is withing specs.

If it is louder inside then outside it makes me think the noise you are hearing is a relay miss behaving. Tell, does the sound / sound the same as when you turn your key as far as it goes but before starting the car? The sound you here then is you fuel pump relay, it makes a clicking noise. Anyways does this sound the same as your clicking noise? This is long shot I know.

No, the sound I get is much louder than fuel pump relay. I can hardly hear my fuel pump relay sound. This sound has this distinct ticking sound, and strange thing is it only takes a slight tap on the break to make it sound. So obviously the sound is initiated by pressure changes in the break system, now what parts could me making this sound?
