Auto Transmission Question

I have a 97 SE Automatic with 95K. It runs great, shifts normal but lately when coming to a slow stop (like a stop sign) there is a vibration and sometimes a rattle as if there is still pressure from the torque converter. Sometimes its worse than others (it seems depending upon the weather or just the day). The Max was converted to Amsoil synthetic around 50K (screen relaced, pan cleaned full flush) and then again at 94K (screen and pan cleaned with full tranny pressure flush at local garage). The ECU show 0505 so I'm good there. I have not done the transmisson diagnostics procedure though. Anyone have any insight to possible failures (a relay or solendoid) that may be causing this? I plan to take it to a local transmission shop today for for a quick evaluation but would appreciate the input.

Thanks

If your idle is high it would put strain on the engine when you are holding it back with the brakes. Thats the only thought I have to offer. You have certainly taken excellent care of the tranny....

I appreciate your input. I thought it may be the idle also. I appears never to happen when the car is first started and the cold low idle is around 900 rpm. When the car warms up and the idle drops to 500 - 600 rpm is when it happens. The car idles very consistent in the normal range. I did notice an improvement when I pulled off my hybrid intake and reset the ECU (I was considering selling when I started noticing this). Interesting thing out of all this is I like the stock airbox back since I gained back low end pull.

It's just wierd that it's not that consistant. I noticed a small amount of blow back oil in the hyrid intake from the breather tube. So I may do a thorough throttle body cleaning. I also put about 12oz of injector cleaner to see it makes any difference.
