Pulling up codes?

hey guys, i know this is a newbie question but that's why I am here. My car is feeling a little sluggish, and 1st gear seems to be a little jumpy at times. I'm guessing it could be either the knock sensor, o2 sensors, or possibly the throttle body. My CEL is'nt on, but is it still possible for me to pull up codes. Should i even bother trying? thanks guys

Sounds like a tune up might be in order for you here. Trying to pull up codes isn't a bad thing. Also you might want to check out the faqs at the top of the threads. Those are very helpful.
