tighten the suspension on a '99?

Hey all, im on my first Maxima. My two Accords b4 were good, but def didnt compare to the Maxima..

Its a '99, and I bought it used... its come up to the 100,000+ mark recently, and the suspension is starting to feel very not-there, so im looking to get it rebuilt soon.
I just wanted to find out, is it possible to get the suspension tightened up easily for better handling, perhaps as the sport edition had (mine is the GLE). I know the LE had a suspension in between the XE and SE in terms of stiffness. Id like to tighten it up some.
Can this be done simply with different struts, or does it require any rework of the rest of the suspension?

Thanks in advance.

Keeping in mind that I'm a novice, my first modification was to replace the springs with H&R springs. I couldn't believe the difference it made in handling (i.e. originally stock SE springs). Based on my research, changing the struts will have an equally dramatic effect. Hence, I've order the Tokico Illumina shocks/struts and will be installing them sometime during Christmas hopefully. I'm extremely glad I changed to the H&R springs (had them for 2 yrs now) and am really looking forward to the differnce the Illumina struts will make.

I'm sure others will have more input, hopefully this helps. And have fun with the Maxima.

Besides new shocks and springs, a front strut bar and a rear sway bar will tighten up things alot. Ebay has strut bars for around $40 and a progress rear sway bar will run you about $150.

Read the FAQs they will help you out alot

It really depends on how much comfort you want to sacrifice. This site should get you started.
