i bought these HID bulbs (the ones that change 85/80w => 130/100w) about 10 months ago and have been runing them on stock harness, but after all this time when i got in my car and turn them on the high beam light in the dash was on and it wouldnt turn off but the blub it self was on low beam. anyway the driver side light wasnt working and i tested the bulb, and the bulb was fine, same with the wires. what should i do? should i follow the wire all the way to the end and cut the black tube and see that or?

 

Not sure how you tested the bulb, but i can say one thing about those cheap lights, they tent to burn rather quickly. Sometimes the low beam burns, but the high beam will still work. If your high beam ligh is on the dash, that means one of the lights is out. Change the bulbs around and check it, if the bulb that is not working now still doesn't work, that menas it's burned out. If it works that means something is wrong with the wires (check for melting since u're using stock harness).

 

i tested the bulb by changing the bulbs from driver side to pass side. the bulbs are fine and i couldnt see anything melted. (the driver side doesnt work at all)
