Urgent!!need Help, Removing Trunk Keyhole

i slid that little tab that held it in place....it came off, so now i have a keyhole thats just sliding back and forth, help me out please, id like to get this done before night....ive been trying to figure this out for the past 40 minutes, its ruining my install time here.....

You disconnected the rod that goes to the latch? And the tab is completely off? If I remember correctly it should just pull right out. It may need to be rotated.

Yeah, I just looked it up in my haynes manual and you have to rotate it 45deg.
