Stillen Lip

Hi guys. How do I install the lip? Just use 3M tape where it goes on the bumper and a screw on each side that goes into fender?
For some reason mine if gets on one side, it needs like an extra inch on the other side to completly wrap the bumper.

Also, should I wait until the spring to put it on, or practise driving with it while its snowy so less scratches will be on it?
Do you take off yours for the winter?
Thanks.

how low is your car? There is a write up for installing it, gotta find the link I saved. You'll 3m double sided tape plus some screws too the hold it together.

if your car is that low that you might get scratches then maybe a lip wouldnt be best, unless you mean due to the snow and ice.

I'd use screws and 3m tape, you hit a bump here in the city and its going to rip right off... that or I know plenty of people that need a lip and would be more than welcome to rip it off tape and all

Take a look at the lip, you should be screwing it from the bottom where no one can see the screws, then it'll look fugly. Its up to you how many you wanna use...

I just got my lip yesterday. Anyways do we drill from the bottom? Does anyone have any pics of their install? I would really like to do this myself. I have no screws on the side of the fenderwell so im guessing it has to be drilled from the bottom. Someone please help. Thanks in advance

When I installed it, I put 3M tape where the lip goes on the bumper on the sides, because in the middle it holds fine by itself. Then in the fenderwell i screwed one small screw on each side and used a black marker on caps since my car is black.
People told me to do it from the bottom, but when you put the lip on, there is like good 3 inches of nothing between the lip and the bottom of the bumper. So it doesn't make sence. When you'll try to install it you'll see what I mean. The only way it work if you use like 3 inche screws.
Also, the lip huggs the bumper pretty well, so it doesn't need all those huge screws.
Hope this helps.

I think I understand. So you just screwed into the side of the fenderwell (screw towards the front of car). I have some instructions and it says that there should already be a hole there but I dont see any. Oh well I guess I will look at it more. Thanks for the quick reply.

If you want, PM me and I can fax or snail mail Stillen's installation instructions for the urethane pieces.
