maxima wont start!

maxima wont start!

my maxima wont start i turn on the key and it makes a noise like if its trying to start but now the noise ended and i cant manage to turn it on wut could be the problem?

no battery is new i bought it like 2 weeks ago when i changed my alternator

so mabey its your starter, try jumping it. if not look in the stickies on how to re-grease the starter. it could help mabey

a quick solution to just get it started for the time is to tap on the starter with a hammer or pipe or something other than that you will probably need to buy new brushes for the starter they r cheap somewhere around 5 $

The starter is right below and next to the air box (where the air filter is contained).

It's very easy to take out takes me 5min anyone with basic car knowledge should be able to do this. Once it's out, take it to AutoZone or Discount and have them test it while your there pick up a Haynes Book you will be suprised on how many things you can do on your own.Ohh and I suggest not banging on it.

beat the **** out of it but have someone try to start the car when you are hitting it
i was just joking about beating it just hit it solid
also sometimes if you replace the alternator and not the battery at the same time the alternator will strain to recharge the battery and you will have to replace them again
