does greddy make the sp2 cat back for the 99 maxima .... i seem to only find it 95-96 and i found it on one site but it seemed a bit shady so i thought i would ask around first.

The one for the 95-96 has a place for the rear 02 sensor in the 97-99 (it needs to be plugged when on the 95-96). It is also reportedly a bit long on the 95-96 so given that the bumper on the 97-99 sticks out farther it would likely be a better match for a 97-99 that a 95-96.

It sucks to have to customize a brand new exhaust ... but that can wait for the time being ...

there is no O2 sensor past the cat on a 99, the sensor hole is useless no matter what the year

You are incorrect sir. In 95-96 the rear O2 sensor is in the catalytic conververter. In 97-99 it is immediately after the cat (where the hole for it is in the SP2).

No that's not it, I know the 95-96 SP2 fit the 97-99 perfectly but Greddy have just release the 97-99 SP2, and SWA have just upgrade that to their site.

Greddy has a part number for the 99 sp2 but its still made for a 95-96. SWA shouldnt know because they are just the middle man. Ive seen the so called 97-99 sp2 and 95-96 sp2 put side to side a week ago.
