what causes wheel hop under heavy acceleration?

 

motor mounts are weak so the engine rocks back and forth...get the place racing motor mounts to minimize wheel hop, i have them and there is still wheel hop at times but very minimal.

someone correct me if im wrong, but thats how i look at it.

 

where did you get them from and how much?

 

Does wheel hop occur in the front or back? I was screwing around with my friend one time and when I laid on it I think the rear end started to bounce. Memories kind of fuzzy though.

 

front...well can happen in rear if u hit bumps.....wheel hop isnt only from motor rocking...its also from more power to keep tires planted....but not quite enough for total burnout stage.......
