Hey guys im pretty much a noob when it comes to cars...hopefully im not too annoying.

My main issue now is that I can't seem to find my ects (engine coolant temperature sensor). I have the part ordered just cant seem to replace it.

Background: My 1996 maxima has been randomly turning off...usually in the lower rpm's: right before it happens my rpm's go crazy and then it finally shuts down, the car usually starts up right after it shuts down and it does not happen everyday...seems to happen every other day or so. My ecu gave two codes: One for knock sensor and one for ects. Welp after doing a bunch of research on related problems on a bunch of forums (including this one), it seems that it most likely is the ects. I have already replaced the knock sensor myself...and yes the old one was cracked.
