starting problem

OK...here goes
i bought my maxima about 6 months ago and i am damn happy to find u guys.
i had problems with the car starting from the begining and i cannot find out why it still does it
when i bought my car the belt tensioner was bent and the belt squeeled and the gas had to be pumped in order to get the car started...since then i have replaced the following in order to fix the problem:
belt tensioner
belts
timeing chain
alternator
starter
battery
and still i cannot figure why it will not stop spuddering when i start it
the only thing that i have not done to the car is change the 02 sensor which is on, but i did not think that it will cause this problem
(the car seems as if the idle air control valve is messed up, for those that have had a Honda know what i am talking about)
please help me
PS pics are on there way

You threw some serious dollars at this thing already, yet I don't see a basic tune up...fuel filter, new plugs, and cleaning the throttle body.

The O2 sensors in max's, and most cars today, are heated, and so don't "wear out" every 40K. If an O2 sesnor is bad, you'll get a check engine light, and a code to tell you exactly which one is out of range.

Do the tune up, check for error codes in the CPU and go from there.

kk sorry i didnt mention that i have thrown a o2 sensor and that is why i was asking if that would cause it to do this...and i have changed the spark plugs i put ngk in there the recomended from factorybut i havent had a chance or thought to put a new fuel filter nor clean the throttle body so i will try that and respond too you
in response to tjd135 the cel is on and it is the O2 in bay 2 and i got the knock sensor when i first got the car but a simple oil change and it has not reappeared

Is it easier to start the car when it's warmed up?

It might be your Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

I don't know why this makes you think that the IACV is messed up (not that you're wrong...just that I have not experience), but you can clean it too. I think it's in the stickies.

Same thing happens to me. Crank it for about a second, let it sit for another second then start the car. If it starts easier like this, it could be your fuel pump.
Does no one else suspects the pump?

yes it does start once i let it warm up for a while, but once i shut it off for like 5 min it starts to do it again. would the engine coolant tempature sensor throw a code? and i guess that i will change the fuel pump tomm and check on the (ECTS)
thank the both of you...very much
and to all that read this please respond so that i may have more feedback incase these items do not solve the problem

Again i have had a starting problem as well as other issues], it starts up everytime just occasionally i have to pump the gas. I have a bad Engine Temp sensor and i beleive this is the cause.

A bad Engine Temp Sensor can cause hard starts, rough idling ,poor acceleration [and hopefully a no heat issue] . It has many faces

I am having the same problem as 96nismomaxi. I can't even use my remote start in this cold weather! A pumping of the gas pedal is always necessary.
After doing some research I believe that the problem could also be the fuel pressure regulator. Has anyone on the org replaced it. If so, please post your directions.
