One Fob Opens Two Maximas......wierd!

We have his and hers 95 Maximas. My wife doesnt use her keyless remote
and mine broke, so I programed hers to my Maxima as per instructions.

It worked, but a little too good. Now both Maximas unlock at the same
time when I use it. It's kind of cool, but also a pain. Can I fix this little
problem?

The same key fob will transmit the same frequency. So if you program the key fob to your car when it was already programmed for another car, it will work on both cars.

To fix this, clear the codes stored in her Maxima. I posted the steps in the How-to's very recently. Once you clear the codes in her car just open the driver door. No need to go to the other steps.

Now the key fob will only work on your car.

yeah one of my buddies had a maxima, his driver side lock didnt work and he had no keyless fob...so he programmed mine to it so i could open his car for him. Just clear codes on her max and you're set

I had that same problem with my max. my bro gave me one of his remotes and it did the same thing. the code just needs to be cleared on the car the remote belonged to.
