it got in thru the cai..
anyway it idled really bad jumping back and forth.
i changed the oil and the oil filter..i dunno if it helped.
when im driving normal ~40mph its ok..nothing happens.
when i floor it..thats when the madness starts. it has turned off and refuse to pass 3rpm. i reset the ecu and try disconnecting the battery..

so basicly at higher rpms..is when the problems start.

anyone got any ideas?...

You reset the Engine Control Module. It would have been better to read the stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes before doing the reset. You might have seen DTC 0102 pointing to a problem with the Mass Air Flow Sensor. This is one of the most important sensors on the car and is located just downstream of the air cleaner. If your engine ingested water it is likely that the MAFS got wet and possibly damaged. When the ECM senses a problem with the MAFS or its circuitry, it goes into Fail Safe mode and limits engine speed. This is consistent with your report of symptoms.

Facts are better than guesses

There is only one Mass Air Flow Sensor.

I suggest you do a Diagnostic Trouble Code readout. There may be useful information still there, despite your premature reset. If you get DTC 0102 you might want to have your dealer test the MAFS. This is an expensive item and you wouldn't want to replace it unless it is really bad.

You might get some other DTCs too. Facts are better than guesses.

AEM makes them for the 3' piping of the PR CAI (not specificaly, but I'm sure it will work. I'm just going to shop around some websites until I find the best price, but I've seen mostly around $40 so far.

Re: Re: bypass?

Group buy center has a group deal a while back. See if they still have it. I think it was for under $40
