Problem Solved
Hard starting and rough idle solved. Took apart the stock intake and cleaned everything including the throttle body and works great. 240k miles though and I would like a whole new intake (cold air perhaps).
The piece that hooks onto the MAF sensor box is falling apart, a plastic piece broke now connected by duct tape because the rubber piece is also corroded beyond all recognition (cbar). Besides the starter and breaks I think the intake on the maxima is weak.
Also, since I don't have a lock for the trunk (this is wise) the trunk release mechanism needed lubed and I suggest everyone do this (if you don't have a lock) because climbing through the back seat (after it's off) is not fun.
Definately want a newer car, this one is getting dinged up on a regular basis, I watch one lady take a metal beach chair over it, went up and saw the scratch on the hood. Entiorior is still good. But that hood is taking beating from rocks and idiots. This is becoming a car I would try to paint myself, rent a sprayer and by the paint and see what happens.
