Those look pretty tight.

Firebirds are tight, I've been wanting one for a little while now. There's a sweet blood red '95 Firebird Formula for sale near me and I want it bad but with gas prices and no job I don't think I could drive one everyday.

So I guess to hell with the oil leak too? Are you keeping the car as a back up one? You'll never know when gas goes up to $3 per gallon.

I fixed the oil leak... that rear valve cover is a son of a ***** to get to. You have to take off the entire intake manifold which is a pain... it wasnt very much fun and took about 4 hours total.

And Yea I'll be keeping it as a back up. Currently my parents have a 1982 Toyota Corolla which is still going.. I love that car... it doesnt want to die. Honestly my father loves that car to death but I hope to give them the Max as something they can drive in more comfortably and safely. Not that theres anything wrong with the old Toyota.. it runs perfectly, has heat, a/c and not a bit or rust.. its just outdated. Although I might be regretting getting rid of it when the gas prices do go up.

But I see it this way.. no kids, no wife, no problem with a 2 door car Might as well do it now

Coool I was wondering if you actually got in there and did the work. Mine hasn't lost any oil since then and its been 4k miles since I did the work. The 5k mile is coming up and I'll be replacing the oil filter, then replace the oil at the 10k mark. I'm on the Mobile Synth oil. Anyhow, I won't be surprised if I do loose a tiny bit of motor oil because I have a very small leak coming from the main seal which I'm waiting on the clutch to die first so I can do 2 things while I'm in there.

Nothing wrong with haveing a 2 door even when married with kids. That's why you use the wife's minivan or something.

Hopefully it wont leak anymore... after I did the job I thought of you and when you asked about the silicone on the cam journals

I'm running Mobil Synthetic too and I was amazed at how clean and I mean CLEAN my heads and valve train were... I wont ever use anything but Mobil Synthetic in my car or future cars.

True theres nothing wrong with having 2 cars... I dont know if you have kids or not but I'm sure once you start popping them out the last thing you wanna do is start buying more cars
