That gunmetal doesn't go with the car. Gotta strip the paint again and try bronze or something like on those zigen wheels.

Thanks everyone

Quote: That looks real good, I wonder how gunmetal would look on the 17" 2k wheels? How much drop did you get from the B&G's? I don't think going with lower profile tires is a good idea. I'm pretty sure your already scrapping as it is judging from the wheel gap and all.
I thought 5th Gen SE's had titanium editions which were almost gunmetal? B&G's I got an almost 2" drop from them.. I've compared them to everyone else I know with B&G's and no one has been as low as me. I do scrape all the time but the ride is so much nicer with the 15's than my old 17's. I'm actually quite happy with the ride. I'm not messing with tire sizes though, those are all brand new tires and I got a crackhead deal on them so I'm happy.

I've never heard of B&G's. How is it compared to H&R or Eibachs? Are they progressive? Hows your alignment doing with that much of a drop? I think the 65 series tires are contributing to the smooth ride as well. Lots of cushioning from the road.

B&G's were kinda rare, they're pretty soft but harsh. There in between H&R's and Eibachs but more towards Eibachs... just a nicer drop. But the 65 series is definately whats giving me the nice ride. I've pretty much dropped the plans I had to get 18's and air suspension now... I can only imagine how bad the ride will be. I'm just moving on to something else next summer, I may still keep the car.. dunno yet. But I'll definately be parting out the mods.

Same here, my Maxima is a daily driver. I am modding it mildly but its not gonna be anything to be flashing around in. For now, its aight and the next few mods will be a new set of GR2's. Then I'm gonna replace the clutch and fix the rear main seal leak. And then finally, a Stillen lip if I get an insane deal for it (which I know is rare). I just replaced the 95 grill with a modded 97+ one. Got tired of driving around in a busted grill.

I'm thinking either a G35 (coupe) or an '05 Pathfinder by next fall.

GS35 huh? Is that a new breed from Infiniti and Lexus?

I think I'm done modding my car to be honest, I want something fast, flashy, that I dont really have to mod.. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I cant wait for my Firebird WS6... Hopefully I'll get a good deal on one and I can start putting some $$$ away for nice little house. Modding is fun but I guess we all have priorities

Been there done that. I'm selling my 2 bedroom condo to get a 3 bedroom house in a nicer side of town. Plus, business expenses. Those must come first before my vices.

I'm running 225/60 15 on the saw blades (Nokian WR) going to run them all year. These tires seem narrow for 225's, could be the winter-bias design I guess. BTW I don't think 225/55 15 tires are easily available

I think he was trying to say that you should leave the gunmetal on the spokes and black-out the rest (insides of each openings between the spokes and the lug holes). Like this:

Blacking out the rest accentuated the gunmetal spokes. Not a bad idea!

I did that to my lifted 4x4 a year ago. It actually looked like a patrol car with white strobes in the headlights! As for new wheels, I'll pass. I'm done with the wheels thing. I don't want to get too flashy with this old car. The less stuff it has, the least attention it will get from would-be car thieves. Of course, some of them sometimes don't care if a car is fixed up or not if they only want the car for spare parts.

Maximus_95, I've yet to see an undercover cop in a Maxima. That would be cool though, modified VQ for law enforcement.

Ant96GLE, what kind of strobes are those? Where did you get them?

Those are Whelen 90 Watt strobes..

Did someone say VQ and PD Car... okay I know you guys arent going to believe me... I didnt believe it until i saw it. Parked here in front of 1 Police Plaza in NYC we have a Nissan Quest, fully marked with lights and sirens minivan... it actually belongs to a special unit from the Detective Bureau called Crimestoppers... I wish I had a cam.. I dont even have a camera phone

I think you'd get a better shock value if you put the strobes in the headlights. Watch them ricers slow down for you so you can pass them. Then ultimately, if you have strobes in the brake lenses, then they'll stay behind you. Its your ticket to always be ahead of errrbody!

Yes I have them in my front corner lights, I have sockets for 2 more strobes, I just need to buy them.. and like you said, they're going in the headlights.

Its priceless to come up behind them and flash them and them flash the rear ones when they try to catch up.

Write up? well pretty much simple wiring and runnign them through the car and then drilling holes in your lights.

You ever get any condensations in the lenses because of the sockets protruding into the lamp housing?

Yes they do sell it, we had the same problem here... all we did is put the spray paint behind cages so now you have to ask for it.
