I have an Automatic and yesterday on my way to work i pulled into dunkin donuts and all the sudden my tranny just slipped right outta gear making my turn and the engine rev'd the **** up and i was like what the fuuuuuuck?? so i leave dunkin's and work is 2 mins up the street and from there my tranny just keeps slippin outta gear and buckin and im like wtf is goin on! (cuz my tranny is in mint condition) at 135,xxx. I bring it in the shop on the lift, (which i had trouble cuz the damn thing was slippin as im tryin to go up the ramp.) check tranny fluid and nothing is showin up on dipstick so im like wtf! i raise the lift up and tranny fluid is lining the underbody of the car smokin off the engine (which it was smokin up the inside of my car too from dunkins also) so i get the parts cleaner out and doush the car and get it clean. So i look at it more closely and i see the the tranny cooler hose is sittin right on the front pipe. Melted a hole right through the rubber hose before if feeds through that hole wheres its connected to the tanny pan. plus the heat off that pipe was rediculous cuz i took the heatsheild off a week prior due to rattles. so i order a new hose and clamp it on one end and cut the hose a little bit shorter to keep it away from the front pipe, then clamp the opposite side, then wire tied it outta the way even more, put the plastic guards back on, refilled tranny and its just as mint as it was. After i was done i was like, "aw **** i should just got a metal line instead of rubber so i wouldnt have to deal w/ it again" but i didnt really feel like it cuz all i really wanted to do was come to work and sit down and eat my donuts before i actually had to do anything. when i finished, milk was warm and donuts were hard so i just sat down pissed off n ate em. anyone ever have this problem on their max? or hear of it? sorry for length -Jeff-
