Ok,

heres waht I think is a problem not sure if it i, since Im a new maxima owner...

When I turn the car on then hit auto for heat nothing comes out... the fan speed is at 0. But if I do it manual it works... then if I then do auto it works and will adjust fan speed to the current temp...

Shouldnt it work when started up? or does it need to wait for the car to heat up before it starts?

 

Auto climate control waits until the engine coolant temps gets warm before turning on the blower. The fan speed slowly comes up to full strength as the engine coolant heats up the heater. It works that way so you don't get ice cold air blowing out at you when you start your cold car.
