ok well i took off my cai cause i got annoyed at it being loud and i need to smog soon anyways. well anyways my car is hella slow with the stock intake but i want to keep it, if i hack it and drop in a k&n panel do you think it will be just as fast as before?

 

What type on cia did you have because I feels like mine is slowing me down and my stock one was better?

 

i dunno it was off of ebay, it goes down through the side and ends up in the wheel well. i also cut the plastic out of the wheel well, another reason i want to put the stock on on while its raining and tehres alot of deep puddles

 

it works relly good i ran a 16.29 without it and a 15.91 with it

 

the only thing i didnt like about the cai was it seemed to have bad throttle response but once i was going it was good

 

You did not improve your ET by that much with just the intake...

Your probably faster with the Stock one anyway. It only SOUNDS faster since it makes more noise.

 

yea theres no way possible that was your differnce with just a CAI.....at most the damn thing only adds like 1-2 horsepower....IF THAT!

 

ya it did but i dont think it was just that i did a tune up after the first time i went.

 

stock might be faster with better filter but right now i dont think it is cause i cant really chirp 2nd anymore
