I was wondering if anyone has any idea where I could get the clear-looking headlights for a '96 Max. I have the factory ones, that have the lines across them, and it just looks messy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try the 97+ headlights, they are perfectly clear. However, they are plastic, so be careful with them. Also, they are pretty expensive....100+ for each headlight.

I did the switch to the clear headlights off of a 97 or 98 max and put them on my 96 GLE. Looks way cooler and is a little brighter and cleaner pattern on the road. The plastic lenses do not make me nervous. I don't know of a good price to pay...I got mine free....switched off of a max going to auction.

I thought you had to replace the grill when switching the headlights?

I have a 96 SE and if you don't have to switch the grille I'll be visiting the wreckers tommarow

As long as you're changing just the headlights, you don't need a new grill. You have to change the grill and bumper together if you change either one, they dont interchange between 95-96 and 97-99.
