Hard starts??

My car starts pretty hard when it is cold out now-only when its cold not when over like 30 or 40-it starts up after a few seconds and makes a lil grinding noise.I have a brand new battery so its not that and i was thinking it was the oil. I am running 10w 30 now and just bought 5w30 today -will that help/fix it . I heard that should be it because the oil is 2 thick and cant get to the top of the block fast enough. is this true thanks and does anyone else have this and did it go away with the change

You certainly should switch the oil. Nissan recomends 5w30 year round. I don't think that would cause hard starting though.

The grinding noise thing sounds like you need to regrease your starter. There was a writeup on motorvate until it was destroyed by some type of worm. I don't know if frank has gotten it back up or not.
