I am trying to figure out what muffler to go with after installing an Budget B & Y pipe. Has anyone installed a Dynomax Turbo Muffler? How does it sound with the aftermarket b & y pipe? Any sound clips?

I have one with a wsp y, and custom B-pipe. I like it. Not that loud, but a nice growl at wot.

i have the wsp quiet catback... basically a clone of the dynomax super turbo and a resonated b-pipe... i don't have a y-pipe yet, and my exhaust sounds really nice... subtle, but noticable...

That does sound nice...but I am afraid that the y-pipe will completely mess up the sound once you add it. BTW What is the diff between "dynomax super turbo" and "dynomax turbo"?

Yeah, I forgot...mines a resonated b-pipe too. Definetely get resonated.

I don't think I've heard of a turbo...you sure it's not just a super turbo?

 

You are correct...I think ebay just had the wrong name. Also rumor has it that these things rust pretty fast...can anyone confirm this?

Definately get a resonator... I remember when farting and setting off alarms was all in just a trip to the store.

 

What series flowmaster do you have? Do you have 2 or 1 mufflers for your 2 exhaust pipes?

 

1 - 80 series flowmaster... 1 inlet and 2 outlets

Sorry, no clips. I have had my cattman pipes for about a year now, with absolutely no rust at all, and I live in CO. Also, the quality of the welds are the some of the best I have seen.

Regarding my exhaust, the guy at the shop told me if I'm not going with the Dynomax Ultra flow, which is ss, instead I'm going with the Dyno super turbo which is ilumidized, that I should just go with the ilumidized b-pipe too, and save like $50., is this wise to do?

I have a LSS SS Resonated B + I want to try this muffler. I'd have a custom 2/5 axleback made so It bolts on. I need a center inlet + center outlet? Do they make a 2.5 inlet?

Any pictures of it installed? How does it compare in size/shape to the stock muffler?
