[flame the noob] bought pedals and curious as to how others installed

I bought ractive pedals and it's pretty much common sense on how to put them on. I was just wondering how people did theirs (1) right over the existing pedals? or (2) took off the existing rubber padding on pedals and then installed aftermarket pedals. thanks

From what I've heard many people boil them to make them plyable and then install onto old ones, hope ithis is the type of pedal you're referring to.

i got the momo pedals cause i hate stock pedals... dono just something about them. its the first thing to go along with the shift **** on all of the cars ive ever bought. you remove the rubber and at least for the momo, you drill.

Any pictures and how hard was in the install of the 350Z pedals? when you say "took off" what do you mean does it just pop on and off. I am interested in some interior bling and i would love the 350z pedals

oh you mean pop off the rubber pedals that are on there now. that holds the 350z pedal in place and what did you have to drill on the gas pedal?

what do you mean explain you pop off the old rudder pedals.you pull them off. i soaked the new pedals in hot water for about 10 mins to make them alittle softer to put on.. on the bottom of the gas pedal is kinda slides on to the bracket you just have to make that hole alittle bigger to fit in on the max..

Those look like AE pedals...are you sure they're from 350Z?

Anyway, where did you get them and how much did they go for?
I remember there was a GD on these (AE pedals + 350Z dead pedal) way back for $67.95 + $3.95 shipping but I can't find them for the same (or lower) price anywhere.

I havent changed mine in my max but from previous experiences they just pop right off... they're a hard rubber so you have to play with them to take them off... same with the new ones although I've never tried actually boiling them to make them stretch

thank alot Chuckie. I know alot of these question are silly and it will probally make sense once we get the pedals. I was going to get a sparco pedal set but the oem Z pedals look hot. Fitment looks great and i am sure i will know what hole your talking about when i take off the rubber stock pedal.
