clutch engagment

hi guys well my clutch has been grabing at the top recently is there a way to adjust it besides doing this >> http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...1&postcount=14

any help on this matter would be appricated

Nope, that is exactly how it is supposed to be done. It is not hard, don't know why you would need a different method

somebody was telling me that I needed to bleed my clutch instead of mess with the pedal, So I wasn't sure what i really needed to do I wish this write up had some pics.

It is self explanitory if you get under their and look for yourself. There is a rod going from the clutch through the fire wall. That rod can be srewed in or out. There is a nut holding it in place, loosen the nut then using a pair of small vice grips screw the rod counter clockwise to make the engagement point closer to the floor. It goes not take much maybe half a turn total. Try a 1/2 turn and see how that feels. If you go too far you won't be able to get the car out of gear. It won't harm anything, but you will know for sure that it is too far. It took me 3 adjustments to get it where I wanted it. It is a real tight fit under their so adjust your seat all the way back and use a flash light.

A clutch pedal with high engagement can also be a sign of a worn clutch that may need to be replaced, so keep that in mind.
