Can anyone tell me if i can put 97 tail lights on a 96..... reason being is i seen these bad A** LED ring taillights and i really want them

 

Yes you can, but you need a 97+ trunk. As far as the LED ring tails...Do you mean altezzas?? Cus they make those for 95s and 96s. But those are

we'll see... I'm slowly doing some maintenance now... just bought some new pads and rotors and rear 02 sensor... I might have a few things up my sleeve before summer time so we'll see.

 

No they don't make led tails for the 95-96's or at least not readily or easily available ones fyi, and if he saying ring lights he prob. does mean altezza's, which only come in led's for 97-99. And yes u can use them you just need to replace the trunk, or you can do what i did on my last may, paint your inner tails (on the trunk) body color and install just the outer altezza led's it actually looks pretty good, makes the max look more like 2000+'s if u do it correctly. Although finding a trunk and doing it the right way is better.

 

You can't fit the Gen II's on a 95-96 rear, you need to do the 97-99 conversion to use them. The outer ones will fit but the ones on the trunk lid will not. The 97-99's trunk lights are wider and have a different angle to them.

And NO, they do not make Gen II's for 95-96's so the only way to use them is to convert or have a 97-99 Maxima.



You'll notice lots of people here hate Altezza's. I must admit, Gen I Altezza's look horrible on almost any car but the Gen II's with the LED rings look awesome in my opinion and so far I've only seen them for Maxima's.

Those are the ones I like and will look like pictured above except those are chrome and the one's I have are gunmetal which is like a tinted chrome pictured below.

if any of you want a set of gen 2 altezz's i have a set of gunmetal ones for sale in the classified section.

 

I jsut switched to 97 trunk lid and red/white tails for 300. I found one in white and matched the white on my car almost perfectly. Just look around and jump on a good deal.
