95 5spd Max revamp

My clutch needs to be replaced so I'm thinking about putting in a better clutch and do a few upgrade to the clutch system. I also was looking into getting a short thown shifter.

1) What do you guys recoment doing to the clutch system to a get a better feel in the clutch?

2) Any clutches you recommend?

3) Is it worth buying a short shifter, Im not to keen on the idea of cutting my shifter right now

4) Whats a good short shift **** floating around out there?

5) Is all this even worth doing on a car with 130k miles.

1) + 2) The general consensus around here is that, unless you're going to be doing a LOT of racing, OEM clutch is the way to go. It will last a long time and there aren't any troubles with it wearing out sooner, which is probably what the aftermarket ones will do.

3) I'm not too sure about the short throw shifter, I still have to install my custommaxima one, but people that have them installed seem to like them... I hear there's a bit of notchiness that comes along after the installation, but other than that, they're fine.

4) I'm not exactly sure what you mean about the short shift ****, but if you wanted a small ball-type shift ****, momo shift ***** are a good place to start looking.

5) Sure. Maximas last a long time if taken care of properly, and if you install these parts yourself, the price won't be outrageous.

depends how well your car is holding up, mine has 133k, and i feel its in great condition.
go OEM clutch, you dont need the others, they burn up quicker. you have an option of using a 5th generation pressrue plate if you want. i think 2 org members have done that withint he past month and a half. look into it.
