Before you get murdered read the Faq's

to do it just use fishing line as a saw between the letter and the paint then use somthing like goo-gone to get rid of the sticky stuff

97-99s look nice with nothing on there but 95-96 IMO don't. Just take the hamburger of and leave the Maxima. Trust me or else you'll be running to the dealership for the MAXIMA emlbem later on like me.

Actually, you can lick them off. They are non toxic and saliva breaks them down. Many people have started this method because it is easier and does not leave any glue behind. And no, you can't spit on a rag and do it.

Do know if anyone else has done this, but I decided to get the gold letters and pinstriping taken off and changed for Chrome. I like the way the letters look on the back.

A) buy new letters from the dealer

B) use 3M exterior mounting tape. it takes awhile cutting it out

I've got a 96. I've had them all at one time. At first, I decided to shave the Maxima letters so I just had a hamburger on there. It looks pretty cool, but I got kinda sick of it after a while. Then, I shaved the hamburger off there, and IMO, it looked really stupid. Now, I have the Maxima letters on there, but I put them close together like in the 97-99 trunks. Kind of a stupid mod, but it looks the best to me, lol.

Trunk logo removal (the easy way):
Step 1: Take a hit in the *** by someone leaving a parking lot to fast
Step 2: Tell the body shop not to put them back on when they finish painting the trunk.
Step 3: Pick up your car a week after it was promised.

wondering if you could photoshop me a picture of a black max and the emblems spraypainted black w/ clearcoat. Would it even show? I really like the way the 5th gen black max's have the darker emblems that just blend in with the paint. I'm spraying the grill, but still contemplating on the real emblems. Thanks in advance if you do take the time to do it.

It's funny you say that. My roomate / frat bro had a '95 gxe, maybe gle.... it was loaded and had honeycomb wheels.

The last "A" in "MAXIMA" was stolen or just fell off. He replaced it with an AU emblem from a Auburn University bookstore where we lived. rofl that **** was ghetto
