trans issue. Need some serious input/guesses from the .org!

Yeah my trans has been acting up lately this month. Takes a little into 1.5/2k to sometimes get it moving, other days its fine. I've posted about this before but havent got much response from the amount of people that read this. Late this night, I hit a nice straight away and hit 125 just fine but when i pulled into the subdivision i pulled in my girlfriends neighbors drive way to reverse and pull on the street. My reverse gear wasnt working and rev'ed it to 2.5k rpms...didnt move. Shout it off for about 2 mins tried again, same thing. While in park i tried to be a little ballsy and rev'ed it up there, hear a lil knock and put it back in reverse worked fine. Beleive me, I'm sure I'll hear my trans is shot, But thats the last thing I want to hear at the age of 17 and being on a huge budget.

97 auto se - 121k miles

My shortram intake has a leak in the MAF adapter, I'm trying to fix this but unfurtuantly I missed out on the cattman GD..Pissed about that.
Plugs, fuel filter, water pump, knock sensor, PCV valve have all been replaced recently.

Possible :: Egr valve solenoid gone bad? could it be JUSt the intake? Could it be my actual MAF? Tuffy by me runs a machine called motorvac that goes through and pumps all the carbon out of the system and TB (Similar to SeaFoam but when i used this I didnt get much of results) Someone told me it could be that Some of my injectors could possibly be clogged and this motorvac machine claims to unclog injectors. HELP!!

Torque converter, tranny pump, solenoids, valve body, clutches, not enough line pressure in the tranny could also cause that. It's time for some tranny work.

Thats not your motor causing the problem.

sounds like you cooked your tranny like a lobster. as someone already stated if your having to rev it before it engages your losing pressure.

your most likely going to need around 1k + to fix it

good luck

take it somewhere and have them run a tranny service, drain the fluid, check the plug for metal shavings, refill see it that will help. when i did that i found out for sure mine was fucked due to the metal shavings on my drain plug...
