I use the copper plugs but many prefer the platinum. As far as the manual trans, some say Redline, some say Amsoil. I used Amsoil, I like it a lot. It feels much better than standard oil. You'll need 4.5 to 5 quarts. I pulled the reverse switch to drain mine. If you do the same thing be careful with it, it can break, it's plastic. ONLY USE GL-4, NOT GL-5. Several write ups and my research suggest GL-4 ONLY. Amsoil does have it, they call it marine lube or something now but they do still have it.

Oh, and don't force the switch back in. It has an O-ring on it, make sure it stays in place. When you remove the switch the oil comes out in a hurry. Have a big pan handy. By the way. I think a gallon bucket is all they sell the amsoil in. It's around 30 bucks. Redline may sell quarts, not sure. Ask around about the pros and cons of each brand. If I remember correctly the redline works better in cold weather but the amsoil gives better wear resistance. That's what I read somewhere but you may want to look into it, I may be wrong. I'm sure a good synthetic GL-4 is better than non synthetic.
i already have redline from my 60k tuneup, i was just wondering whether you aare supposed to replace it at 120k mile also.
