Sunroof Problem, Need Help/Opinions! Passenger side "track" not moving.

I have recently ran into the problem of my sunroof not being able to function. I washed my car one day and then tried to open it with no luck. It was about 35 degrees outside and I was opening the day after I had washed it so I dont feel that is was so much to do with it being frozen. Anyways I took the sunroof apart and noticed the passenger side track not moving, but the driver side is. I can move the passanger side track with my hand, which makes me think I may have knocked it off the track?? Anyone have any experience with this? I know deezo had done a sunroof rebuild on vqpower but I dont know what the symptons were for the rebuild. If anyone can give me an idea/answer I will greatly appreciate it!!!

Thanks,

-Nick

The cable is probably broken. Go to VQpower.com and search the "How to's" to fix it yourself. The dealership is going to try to run a fast one on you if you take it to them.

Well since Deezo responded, I'm guessing you have the symptoms.

Looking through the rebuild DIY looks like you'll want a two car garage and a decent sized table or couple sawhorses and a piece of plywood in one of the bays to do this rebuild.

I have to do the rebuild too but no garage means it has to wait til springtime.

Most def.

I helped my cousin with his sunroof problem when he lived here in MA and I did a writeup about it. It's in the stickies also.

Nick, If needed I'll sell you my entire unit if I can keep my glass. If your glass is tinted at least 20% I'll take that instead.
