Poping noise from front end when starting moving

Sometimes when I start moving a hear a poping noise coming from the front end. It sounds like it is the driver's side but I am not sure. I know I am leaking from my axel boot but I don't think it would do that. I also hear a noise when turing the wheel sometimes. Like a cracking noise. I think that might be the axel but I am not sure. Does anyone know what these could be?

it might be the upper strut bearing because if those go out it makes a horrid noise when turning the wheel cause the spring is actually winding itself up in there. i had to replace mine cause they were making metally popping noises and pings when i would turn while stationary. just somthing to look into...http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/703 theres a link talking about it and how to replace one. -Ryan

Motorvate is back up

The strut mount will not be the thing making noise at startup...I have no idea there.

As far as the noise when turning, if it happens only when moving then it is likely the axle, if it makes the noise while standing still (probably when moving too) then it is likely the strut mount.

Nope. Could it be a motor mount or something in the suspension?
