I was going thru my trunk to clean out some crap and decided to re-tighten some bolts (to spec of course).
After I ended up pulling out the whole trunk, rear seats, etc, I thought I would weigh some of the stuff to see actually how much it weighs...you might be surprised:
1) I have a pre-fab box with two 10" Pro JBL subs = 40lbs
2) The back seat (rear against the trunk) = 18 pounds
3) The back seat (bottom of rear seat ) = 5 pounds
4) Spare tire (donut) = 20 pounds
5) Tire Jack (OEM) = 2 pounds
All of this stuff weighs 85 pounds, that includes the sub box. I've seen people post here that say the box in the trunk weighs 300 pounds....No F***ing way, hehe.
Not enough to really make a difference on the street, but I thought you might like to know the "official" weight of some of your OEM parts.

hehe, 300lbs, yeah probably not very likely at all... perhaps it's weight of speaker + amp + box? I know the Eclipse 10" titanium subs are 40lbs each.

40 pounds EACH? I've never seen a sub that weighed that much. I have Atlantic Technology 12" subs (home theatre) (250 watts each) enclosed in a wood cabinet, and it only weighs 57 pounds....I can't imagine a sub weighing 40 pounds...Whew !!!!
