Anybody knows if it's possible to put 17" wheels with (235x45x17s tires) on the front and 18" (with 235x40x18s)
on the back?
Any potential problems or disadvantage with that...???
feedbacks would greatly be appriciated...Thanks

The only advantage of that is that it would look cool if you liked the look..but you might have some problems bieng that it is a front wheel drive car...and would probably not drive good at all...but have never seen or heard of any front wheel drive cars like this....i wouldn't..but..

I really don't see a problem with this on a front or rear wheel drive car. Only 4WD vehicles recommnmend the same tire/wheel combo on both the drive and trailing wheels. BTW, why would you want to do this? Most of the time it is to have bigger(wider) tires on the rear, but in your case...

i wanted to do that but the dealer said not to because of the ABS BRAKES. if the front wheels spins a little bit more than the back wheel all the time, the sencor on the hubs will make your ABS on all the time and you might not be able to tell until it's too late. i just got my brembo rotors and a right rear hub, will inst. next week.

Pros and Cons

The reason I've been thinking about this, because I have 3 pairs. four 7x7 1/2 & two 18x8 Anteras
That ABS issue (from Nissan ) makes me think again.... Any expert explanation on this .....??????

does your car have ABS? ABS works properly only if 4 tires are the same....

If it's a GXE, you shouldn't have ABS. I was running 17"s in front and "19's in back for a while due to my new 19"s not clearing my 300Z upgrade at first. Until I got the spacers, I was rolling for about 2 weeks on the 17"/19" combo. Honestly, it looks kind of stupid. Unless you're into that wannabe import drag racer look. It looks like you want to look like a bad *** drag racer, that or you couldn't afford 2 of the same size rim.

or

or it looks like you are a wannabe C5 or Viper or any other car that has different sized wheels front and back... only problem is that those cars are all RWD, and they use a bigger rear wheel to enable the use of a bigger rear tire, thus more traction, while the front wheel (and tire) is kept smaller so that less mass is being turned by the steering wheel and stopped by the front brakes. in my opinion this would look totally stupid on a front wheel drive car... i've seen some crap berettas and such do this, and i just laugh... but whatever you wanna do.

I think it would look cool!!

Hello:

Get passed the ABS issue, if it's a GXE I don't think you have it. So I say go for it, because go don't just need more traction for acceleration, you also need traction for high speed cornering and I'm sure your car would track better at high speeds with this set up.

Also, your car would accelerate better with this 17" in the front and 18" in the back then just having 18" all around, because you would have lighter wheels in the front.

Let me know what you decide on.

the grill on my car is made by TRENZ you can get it at GODFATHER'S CUSTOM. i think they sell it for $159+ shipping. they also make a lower grill i think it's $169+ shipping. the top & lower grill is made for 97 to 99 but the top grill will fit the 95-96(it will leave a small gap between grill & bumper). give them a call maybe you can get it cheaper.
