I don't have the bose system.But i want it louder here is my thing i dont want to change my cd/cass.What do guys think just upgrade the speakers will make a diffrence or throw a box and amp.Running the box and amp will sound better coming rear speakers or the cd/cass unit.Thank for input will be posting pictures of my sage mist car soon.

 

i kept my cd/cass and ran a sub and amp. also did the mids and highs all around. I replaced the stock speakers with clarions, sounds alot cleaner, not that the stock max speakers are really all that bad. if you want to throw in a sub and amp and keep your cd/cass all you have to do is buy a line output converter. They cost about 25 bucks at any audio shop. make sure you get the SN 35 if you get a PAC line OC. the other one doesnt handle so many watts. its a really easy install. Just splice the wires coming off the PAC into any speaker wires. I did mine in the rear deck for convenience. only takes a few minutes. what this does is converts the speaker wire into RCA cable so you can plug that into your amp. works like a charm. I dont know why i wrote so much.

 

Sub and amp will provide more bass, if you want louder sound all around, you're gonna have to upgrade to a higher wattage head unit. You could also replace your factory speakers with higher wattage speakers and run an amp to em w/out changing your stock head unit. Just my .02
